Cultural Property (Armed Conflict) Bill


Key Benefits

The bill would:

Make it illegal to damage or attack cultural property protected by the 1954 Hague Convention in the event of Armed Conflict and its Protocols

Make it illegal to trade in cultural property illicitly removed from occupied territory

Ensure that the blue shield emblem of the 1954 Hague Convention has equivalent protection to the Red Cross emblem
