Modernisation Committee
The Select Committee on Modernisation of the House of Commons was established in June 1997 with a remit to "consider how the practices and procedures of the House should be modernised". The Committee is chaired by the Leader of the House of Commons, and over the last two Parliaments it has put forward a number of proposals for reform, many of which have subsequently been adopted by the House. It is a cross party Committee comprising of 15 Members.
